INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

The first step will focus on alleviating the immediate pain and suffering that trouble you today. This will open the path to exploring deeper layers of your personal experience, promoting greater self-awareness, authenticity, and life satisfaction.

You will find a safe environment to explore thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns. This will be a space dedicated to your overall well-being and personal development.

How does it work?

We will work together to build a clear understanding of your experiences and personal challenges. By combining humanistic, psychodynamic, and behavioral aspects of psychotherapy, I will provide all the necessary support you will need to address any distress you may be experiencing.

The focus is on you

Each session lasts 50 minutes and is held weekly. Since this is a therapeutic relationship, additional support is available whenever you need it, such as emergency sessions to help you navigate challenging moments. You will have all the assistance you need to overcome the distresses you are experiencing.

Every couple faces challenges. These difficulties can be overcome and harmony can be rekindled. Couples Therapy provides a safe space to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and restore intimacy.

Bibliotherapy

Live to Read & Read to Live

Bibliotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses reading as a tool to promote emotional and psychological well-being. Through works of literature, philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience, we use books as allies to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will investigate difficulties & challenges, life impasses, emotional pain, and existential crises. Books are powerful tools for building new perspectives on our lives and our existence in the world.

In the first session, we will discuss your life today, identifying current challenges and desires. We will investigate your current reading habits and what you enjoy reading. Some suggestions will be made that resonate with your present experiences and will help broaden your perspective on your self and your life in general.

2.

After an agreed upon interval where the reading material can be absorbed, a new session will take place so that we can discuss what has been read and how it has affected you. In this session, we will be able to discuss any difficulties understanding the material and explore different meanings that can be extracted from each text.

About Me

I began my career in the Philosophy Department, where I remained for almost a decade. Upon realizing that Academia could not offer me the life I wanted, I changed paths towards a profession of care and connection. As a Psychologist, I still draw upon all the knowledge I have accumulated in philosophical investigations, because these have shaped my way of looking at the world and the people around me. 

I currently divide my time between the public mental health sector in Rio de Janeiro, and my private practice. My practice includes individuals and couples from diverse cultures, backgrounds and contexts, in several different countries.

Our sessions take place via video calls using easy-to-access platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, Teams or Skype). All you need is a device with a camera, a stable internet connection and a private space.

I am trained in different psychotherapeutic modalities, including humanistic, psychodynamic, systemic and behavioral approaches.

This will depend on the nature of the issues being faced. When challenges are personal, focused on self-awareness, emotions, thoughts, and individual experiences, individual therapy is more appropriate. However, if problems are related to communication, conflicts, or specific dynamics within the relationship, couples therapy may be more effective. Both can be valuable, depending on the context.

Yes! Every relationship goes through moments of difficulty that need to be carefully addressed from time to time. The modern world offers many possibilities for partnerships, and this diversity is very present in my practice. I am always attuned to the specific needs of each couples particular way of relating to each other.
I have extensive experience with LGBTQUIAP+ community.

Payment is made via bank transfer, Pix, Wise, or PayPal. During the first session, all agreements regarding fees and payment methods will be discussed, always aiming to facilitate the client’s experience.
